Environmental Stewardship

• Carbon Neutral Operations: We measure our operational carbon footprint annually and purchase high-quality carbon offsets from the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project in Kalimantan, which protects peatland forests and supports local communities.
• Zero Single-Use Plastics: We have a strict ban on single-use plastics throughout our property. Guests are provided with reusable glass and stainless steel water bottles, and all our amenities are sourced in bulk or in biodegradable packaging.
• Local & Organic Sourcing: Over 85% of the ingredients used in our kitchens are sourced from local, organic farms within a 50km radius, primarily from the fertile highlands of Bedugul. This reduces food miles and supports sustainable agriculture.
• Water Conservation: We have implemented a comprehensive water management system, including rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling for irrigation, to conserve Bali’s precious water resources.
• Waste Management: We partner with Eco-Bali Recycling to manage our waste stream responsibly, composting all organic waste on-site to create natural fertilizer for our gardens.

Community Empowerment

• Local Employment & Development: We are proud that over 90% of our team members are from the surrounding villages. We provide competitive wages well above the provincial minimum (UMP), comprehensive health insurance through BPJS, and continuous professional development and training programs.
• Supporting Local Artisans: From the hand-woven textiles in our villas to the ceramic tableware in our restaurant, we prioritize sourcing from local Balinese artisans and craftspeople, paying fair prices to help preserve these vital cultural traditions.
• Community Investment: A percentage of our net profits is dedicated to the ‘Juara Future Foundation,’ a community fund managed by our parent group. This fund supports educational scholarships and environmental initiatives, such as waste management infrastructure projects, in our local banjar (community council).
• Cultural Preservation: We offer our guests authentic cultural experiences in a respectful manner, working directly with local communities to ensure that tourism supports, rather than dilutes, Balinese traditions. We are also financial supporters of a local Gamelan orchestra.
